3 Ways Scrum Masters Can Stay Relevant in 2026

Do we have Scrum Masters in the house? 🙋🏻‍♂️

The role has been constantly evolving since 10 years ago... and those who are still tied to the 2016 habits are often the ones having the most difficulty bringing value to their teams. Here are the 3 things I will focus on to still make sense as a Scrum Master in 2026:

1) Get interested and involved in the Product
2) Become your Product Owner's MVP (and BFF)
3) Visualize what you do and the impact of your work

The market is challenging at the moment and this role, which impact is indirect (=visible through the work of other people), is often the first one aimed when there is a budget cut or a difficult choice to make. So let's step up our game and make sure we're spending our efforts where it makes the most sense! 😊
