Agile Transformation Needs Both Bottom-Up and Top-Down Alignment

Unpopular opinion : The difficulties of Agile ways of working in big companies are not only coming from the resistance of leadership and management towards change, but also from the Agile people, rejecting everything that comes from the management. ⛔️

When an Agile transformation starts as a fight, it will most likely feel like a fight all along... until one party wins and the other one loses. While what we need to do, is implement new practices in an existing system. 📈

This is why playing the "Bottom up" card while blocking all "Top down" decisions without exceptions is a recipe for failure. More than aiming for a bottom up approach no matter what, what we need to implement a communication system from strategy, to execution, to feedback (and back). 🔄
