Bridging the AI adoption gap: start small and keep it real

Every day, the gap between AI enthusiasts and the majority is getting bigger. 😶
⠀
Geoffrey Moore called that gap "the chasm", between early adopters who love to explore and push the limits, and the early majority who mostly want something simple that works in their job tomorrow morning. And every post about eight agents running in parallel, or someone reprogramming the OS of their smart TV with Claude Code, digs it a bit deeper.
⠀
So if you're on the other side, start small:
⠀
▶️ Pick something you do every week that eats your time: meeting notes from a transcript, a stakeholder update, a workshop agenda...
▶️ Keep it half automated. Let AI do the boring part and keep the personal touch for yourself (personally, I don't like receiving emails that are obviously 100% AI generated).
▶️ If you work with Teams, you probably already have Copilot, or you can ask for a license. And if you don't know where to start... ask it. Literally: "how could I start using you in my job?"
⠀
And if you're an early adopter (I guess I am, a bit 🤷🏻‍♂️), share the simple stuff too, and help the people around you take that first step. For someone who hasn't started yet, a small trick is often as useful as the most impressive setup, if not more.

So, trying to close that gap : what simple trick made your life easier lately?

Uploading our Sprint Review transcripts into an Gemini Notebook notebook. We not only get the analysis of a review but of all the sprint reviews, decisions, ideas, etc. with a few well worded prompts.

I created a Python script with AI to analyze sprints, and the team is happy and thankful. 🙏 It helps track how long work was in progress and when the number of tickets was above (or very below) WIP limit ✨️
