Context Switching Drains Your Energy: Two Simple Fixes

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁, 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱.


Ever felt exhausted after a working day ? Too much workload can be the cause of course. But even more than the amount of work, the amount of different tasks can be to blame.

When you switch from one task to another, it takes a significant amount of time and effort to be ready to work on it efficiently. That's what we call the 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁.

You can find a lot online about 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 (sometimes also named Context Switching). I will not copy / paste long inspirational texts here, but let me share you these 2 tips that really helped me reduce my own 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 :

✅ Dedicate timeslots where you put the full focus on 1 thing
✅ Stop Starting, Start Finishing !
