Discovering Pastel Powder: A Game-Changer for Canvas Art

Gotta love those pastel powder for colouring big canvases! 😍

Got some of these a few months ago, but only gave it a try today. Compared to the pastel sticks, it helps having smoother shadings and gradients, without those drawing marks you sometimes get with the sticks when pushing too hard.

For now using them with paper tissues but I emptied almost an entire box in just 2 drawings (ok they are big-ass drawings but still). 😅

Used them dry but you can apparently mix them with paper to use them as liquid paint, anyone having tried that already? 😊

If you're interested, check out "PanPastel" on Neuland GmbH & Co. KG's webshop!

Thanks for the tip! Not only I had never tried them, honestly I am not sure I knew they existed!

I rarely use PanPastels anymore but they are awesome. Wonderful for shading. The best hack is hairspray as fixative:)
