Mid-Year Wins: From Corporate to Freelance Freedom in Six Months
Halfway through 2024 - a good time for retrospecting on this first half of the year! ✌️
What a ride it has been until now! While some years seem quite stable and feel like Business As Usual, this year is… quite different 😅
- Finally made the decision of starting my freelance journey
- Stopped CrossFit
- Tripled my running activity instead
- Designed a new talk with my friend ⭐ Els Van Hecke
- Created my own company
- Left the job I loved so much at Telenet group
- Started my first freelance mission at Elia Group
- Delivered the said talk at Regional Scrum Gathering Ghent 2024
And for now, these have been totally winning moves. Feeling grateful to all the people whose I crossed paths with during these 6 months! 🙌
I don’t often feel the tiredness while I’m in the move, but I already know that this change needs to land. I’m used to continuous change, but those ones are not changes you can easily Kaizen (hey Serge 😄) so some rest after a pretty disruptive half year will give me all the energy I will use to make this second half an amazing one! 🔥

Congrats for your amazing journey so far! And, damn, the only time I saw your kids, they were so smaller than now (10y ago). Enjoy your your holidays - hopefully in a country when Summer still exists!
