Rediscovering Retrospectives: Why Fun and Documentation Matter
Flashback to late 2020, when I was ending my first full year as a Scrum Master. So many things to explore, so many formats to try, creativity everywhere. 🤩
So at that time, I compiled my Top Retrospectives of 2020 and shared internally with the bunch of Scrum Masters at Telenet group.
Just bumped into that file again while looking for something on my laptop… and it's so powerful to be able to jump back in time by just opening a file!
So here's 2 Action Points for my immediate future 📝
→ Explore more fancy and funny Retrospective formats, as I feel that things became more "serious" with time. It should never endanger the main outcome of a Retrospective (continuous improvement Action Points for the team) - but if you can combine it with a dose of fun and creativity, go for it
→ Document EVERYTHING you do. It takes time, but not so much when you do it gradually. You don't need to share it… you can just consider it as a gift to your future self. 💁🏻♂️
