Seven years from workshop participant to freelance facilitator

It was just 7 years ago.

I was a participant in this visual facilitation workshop given by Daniel Zerkowitz.

It was part of the Scrum Master training at Telenet group. For employees who had just made a big decision: to pivot their careers to become Scrum Masters and support the company's Agile transformation.

It's a decision I had made a few weeks before, and at that time it felt so obvious.

7 years later, I've given a few of these visual facilitation workshops myself. And many other workshops as well.
Discovered the adrenaline boost of public speaking. 🔥
Created teams from scratch.
Rebuilt some who were badly damaged.
Dove head first into the software jungle and learnt everything I could so it became my comfort zone.
Gained enough confidence to start as a freelancer.

I've never had a career plan. And I still don't have one (well, almost). Because making the right decisions at the right moment beats the most strategic plans 😊
