Speaking about Agile Data at DataBeers Brussels

It was so much fun yesterday! With lots of "first times":
• First time speaking at a data event
• First time doing a short (TED-talk style) format session
• First time speaking at a brewery (Brussels Beer Project)
• First time attending DataBeers Brussels

During this session, I ran through the key Agile principles that apply the most to the Data domain, based on the last 2 years I've spend working with Data teams. I loved the openness and good vibes of the audience and the genuine interest that I felt from the questions asked after the session, and the multiple conversations that followed until the end of the event... and even after it closed 😄

It was super inspiring to hear the stories from the other speakers, I was impressed by the work Martin Colot is doing on prosthetic arms for his thesis, and the way Jo David can explain technical stuff by using totally different context 😄

Thanks a lot to all the people I've met and discussed with yesterday and to the lovely DataBeers Brussels crew: Jelena Grujic (Happy Birthday again!), Johan Loeckx for the funny introductions, Jacopo De Stefani, Ph.D for keeping us hydrated while interacting in the Q&A and the rest of the crew that I've met way too briefly 😉 Thanks for my colleagues Juan Florez, Bart Maes, Zoe Nagel for showing up and especially Thomas Rafflin for making this possible 😊

Until next time! 👋

Thanks, glad you liked the story :-D

and the agile way of working really needs to be adopted by more teams, even if (as you nicely explained) it isn't the exact same form.
