The Friday Planning Trick to Enjoy Your Weekend Stress-Free

My Friday trick to start the weekend with no stress creep: Plan and SECURE a timeslot on Friday afternoon to prepare next week 👇

I mean, not just "close the week" and do these last minute things that have been on your To-Do since Monday. I mean it in a more "radical" way:

→ Consider that as from 4PM or (3PM), you stop "delivering"
→ Review the things that you might have "forgotten" in your latest e-mails, Teams / Slack chats etc. (these are the things that might pop up in your brain at 11PM on a Friday night)
→ Don't take action on them instead, add them in your To-Do that you'll tackle on Monday morning
→ Exception: Planning meetings. If you know you need to plan a meeting, do it now. Those available timeslots run out fast, secure them now
→ Order your To-Do list based on what you should tackle first on Monday. Reminder: not everything is important. Prioritize your current focus - First In First Out is often not fitting our context
→ Plan a hour on Monday morning to tackle quick wins

If you have a lot to juggle with at the moment, you can't expect your brain to let you enjoy your week-end in peace without a process to regularly assess your prio's and the potentially forgotten scope. 💆🏻‍♂️

Enjoy the week-end, all!
