Trust by Default: the Foundation of Great Teams

Trust. 🤝

In Lencioni's model, trust is the foundation of every constructive collaboration. And as my mission in the Data Platform Product Line of Elia Group comes to an end, it's the thing I'm most grateful for. 🙌

The first 18 months, I supported 2 Product Teams. The last 12 months, I also had the chance to work at Product Line level.

Supporting a Product Lead and 6 Product Owners is not so different from supporting a Product Owner and 6 developers:
→ keeping a constant balance between development and operational work
→ thinking long term while taking care of urgent incidents
→ saying no (a lot)

Product Owner and Product Lead are challenging roles. And what I loved about these 12 months working together is the "trust by default" mindset they all showed from Day 1.

Trust as a starting point. That's rare, and it makes things sooooooo much easier. 😍
