Yep.
My question is, why do they hire a Scrum Master if there is no desire to change, to improve, to take the team to new heights? A scrum master needs to both unite and shake things up at the same time.
I believe it's possible, but you won't always be everyone's best friend!

Scrum goes far beyond facilitating meetings Erik Collard if you can’t match companies existing processes with best agile values and practices than you are in the wrong environment. A scrum master is a change agent and companies have the obligation to let him impact their work by coaching and mentoring them towards agile best practices. Remember an agile mind is a flexible mind. Open to accepting changes rather than sticking to a plan that is the only way you gain value with agile.
