Why Do We Struggle to Enjoy Free Time?
Interesting and questioning excerpt from Deep Work by Cal Newport.
How can we possibly fail something as basic as enjoying free time when we can enjoy work ? Pretty contradictory hmmm. Do we need add some structure and rules in our free time to enjoy it more ? Have a real purpose ? Link it to a goal to make it worthwhile ? 💁♂️
I surely like being active all the time (ask my wife) but aren’t we also supposed to enjoy doing absolutely nothing ? 🧐

Great topic for discussion! You r right. Free time doesn’t have to be structured, but if we were to make a hobby out of it, we’d need some discipline, like work! Who knows! That hobby can eventually become a side hustle to make some money! Panedemic made me realize how much free time I have now and what best, I can do with it!
