Why Everyone Should Experience the Flow Lab Simulation

"What? A simulation about flow and Kanban that you run with the whole company, not only with Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters? 🤨"

That's right! Some of you might have heard about OkaloaFlowlab, a simulation during which you experience the direct impact of adding more work when something is blocked, of working in silos, of dealing with urgent requests while your Board is already exploding... to introduce the ideas of limiting work in progress, sharing expertise and conscious prioritising.

For a lot of Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters, this simulation was a part of their initial training track. But... what about the other people? I mean, the people who actually DO the work and would mostly benefit from these learnings and concepts? 😅

Anyone at Elia Group, undepending on their role, can subscribe to this simulation, hosted by the Agile Chapter in 🤝 with the L&D department. Because there is no better way to learn something than experiencing it yourself, right?

Evi Plasschaert is one of the few members of the Chapter able to facilitate this simulation and shares a bit of her experience of doing so : her learnings and most importantly, the key learnings from the participants! 😊

Dimitri Bauwens you mentioned the multi-team flow, would you suggest playing it after or instead of the regular one? Didn't even know about its existence tbh, so very curious now!

Absolutely, I love facilitating Flowlabs. Let's continue to amplify the impact of collaborating while limiting Work In Progress 👌

Isabelle

They build on the principles of the initial single team flowlab, so yes. I think it is good to have the multi-team flow after the first one.
